Manchester City will be hoping to keep their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to face Brentford on Wednesday at 8:15pm (UK time).
Pep Guardiola’s side have taken full control of the Premier League title race, winning their past nine matches to jump above both Chelsea and Liverpool. Victory over Leicester City at the weekend ensured Man City would start 2022 top of the table, aided by the fact that Liverpool did not play. Brentford, meanwhile, were beaten by Brighton on Boxing Day and remain in the bottom half of the table, albeit with a game in hand on a few of the teams around them.
