West Ham vs Tottenham: Predictions
West Ham will be aiming to keep their fantastic run of form going against their London rivals Spurs who find themselves struggling to keep pace in the race for the top four. David Moyes’ side are level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea but lie in fifth spot on goal difference, but the Hammers are six points clear of Sunday’s visitors.
Jose Mourinho’s side have struggled since their away defeat at Liverpool in December and since the turn of the year have only three wins in the league to their name. An expected defeat to Manchester City last time out highlighted the defensive issues which have seen Spurs freefall from top of the league to ninth in the table.
The Hammers have recorded just one league defeat since Christmas which is a stark contrast to their London rivals who have four defeats to their name in the league this year. The two sides met back in October and despite Tottenham cruising to an effortless 3-0 lead, West Ham walked away from north London with a point in a dramatic 3-3 draw.
Harry Kane and Heung-min Son struggled to get any attacking momentum going in their 3-0 defeat away to City. Kane’s future at Tottenham is currently under serious questioning, but a lack of Champions League football could play a huge role in his decision making regarding his future and currently, Spurs are in danger of missing out on the top-four for the second year running.

West Ham vs Tottenham: Match Stats
The England captain is joint-third with his teammate Son in the race for the league’s Golden Boot. Kane and Son both have 13 league goals to their name, but Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah leads the way with 17. The Tottenham striker has not won the title of top scorer since the 2016/17 season but will be aiming to replicate his brace scored when the two sides met back in October.
Mourinho’s side looks shaky in defence and West Ham have already proved to Spurs they are capable of putting three goals past them. Sunday’s clash does not suggest a lack of goals with both sides showing they are more than capable of finding the back of the net, but also more than capable of defensive errors at the back.

27 April 2019 – Tottenham 0-1 West Ham – Premier League

West Ham actually has a pretty poor recent record against Tottenham; however, this season’s Hammers looks a lot stronger than we have seen in a long time. They have proven a tough nut to crack against some of the bigger sides and Moyes’ side have also demonstrated their resilience which was seen in the last meeting between the two teams.
