Crystal Palace vs West Brom: Predictions

Allardyce has pitted his side against Everton and Newcastle United in their last two matches but could only manage a single point with a 0-0 draw against the Magpies, failing to score in either. The Baggies are now eight points adrift of Brighton in 17th and with just 10 games to go, the results need to start coming in if Allardyce is to pull off yet another survival miracle.

But West Brom can take heart in the fact they face a Palace side with just three wins across their last 11 Premier League matches, a run which has seen the Eagles pick up only 12 points, leaving them in 13th. That said, Roy Hodgson’s men are eight points clear of the relegation zone and sit on the cusp of safety, while they boast an excellent recent record against West Brom, one which they’ll be confident of extending here.

Crystal Palace vs West Brom: Match Stats

Crystal Palace have won three of their last four Premier League meetings with West Brom (D1), winning 5-1 at the Hawthorns in the reverse fixture. The Baggies have also lost four of their last six away trips to Selhurst Park in the Premier League. This could be the Eagles’ first-ever top-flight double against West Brom.

Across all competitions, West Brom have lost their last three games against Crystal Palace by an aggregate scoreline of 10-1.

Crystal Palace have failed to score in their last three home league games, as many as they had in their previous 14 at Selhurst Park. The Eagles haven’t gone four home league games without a goal since their first four of the 2018-19 campaign.

After a run of eight league games between December and February in which they conceded at least twice, West Brom have shipped just two goals in their last five Premier League matches. However, the Baggies have also scored just twice in this run (W1 D3 L1).

West Brom (22.7) and Crystal Palace (23.5) have the two lowest expected goals (xG) totals in the Premier League so far this season.

No player has received more yellow cards in the Premier League than Conor Gallagher (8) this season. Only Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (119) has attempted more tackles than the 22-year-old (116).
