Villarreal come into the game on the back of a midweek Champions League defeat to Man United while last time in the league they drew 1-1 at Celta Vigo. They are unbeaten in their last two La Liga games but have only won one of the last six. They tend to be involved in low scoring games with eight of their 13 going under 2.5 and ten of 13 going under 3.5.
Barcelona are now five unbeaten in all competitions although they have one of their last five league games. Away from home, they are still seeking their first victory in La Liga this campaign. A lack of road goals has been an issue with them failing to find the back of the net in three of their five.
Villarreal vs Barcelona Predictions
It is hard to side with either team as the hosts are out of form while the visitors have really struggled on the road. The last three Villarreal games and three of the last four for Barcelona have gone under 2.5 goals so that looks the way to play this.
If Barcelona do score it is likely to be Memphis Depay who leads the line for them well and has three in his last three league games. Depay is also on penalties so he looks the one to be with in the anytime scorer market.
