Torino vs AC Milan: Predictions
Relegation is still a real possibility for Torino. With just four games remaining of their season, Davide Nicola’s side sit just four points clear of the drop zone – albeit with a game in hand. However, a clash against AC Milan will be the last thing they will be wanting after their stunning win on the weekend.
Stefano Pioli’s men emphatically put Juventus to the sword on the weekend in an incredible 3-0 win in Turin for the Milan side. The three points took Milan to level points with second-placed Atalanta, however, the Bergamo based side hold onto second spot with a far superior goal difference advantage.
Despite AC flying high towards the top end of the table, their season has not been without its own troubles. In recent weeks Pioli’s side have suffered Sassuolo and more recently a stunning 3-0 defeat away to Lazio. The odds may be against Torino going into the game on Wednesday night, but they should take some confidence from Milan’s lack of consistency of late.
Torino vs AC Milan: Match Stats
Six of Milan’s last eight Serie A games have ended with the scoreline over 2.5 goals. A lack of consistency has seen a range of results in those games with Pioli’s men triumphing over Juventus recently but also suffering huge defeats away to Lazio and at home Sassuolo which has allowed Atalanta the chance of finishing second.
In seven of the last eight Serie A games in which Milan have scored they have scored in the first half. Pioli’s side have become well known for their quick starts to games with four of those goals coming in the opening 15 minutes of the game.
