Sunderland saw their winless run stretched to four last weekend when they went down 2-1 away to Swansea finding themselves two down in 45 minutes. It ended a run of three straight draws for the North-Eastern side who sit 13th going into the weekend.
At the Stadium of Light, the Black Cats are draw specialists having drawn four of the six they have played in the Championship this season. The last two that they have played here have ended goalless with three of the last four going under 1.5 goals.
Wigan put a two-game losing run behind them in midweek with a 1-0 home success over their Lancashire rivals Blackburn. It means it is just three defeats in the last eight for Athletic who have now moved up to ninth in the table.
Away from the DW Stadium, the Latics have won four of their last five but did lose their last road trip which was at Hull. Will Keane enjoys an away game with the front man having found the back of the net in each of his last three on his travels.

These two know each other well having met in League One last season and with just two points between them it suggests little to choose between the pair. It all then points towards this one ending honours even.
