Sunderland made it eight points from their first games as they defeated Stoke 1-0 last weekend thanks to a Ross Stewart goal. It has been an excellent start return to the Championship for Alex Neil and his men and he will be hungry for a victory against his former side in this one.
At the Stadium of Light, the Black Cats have played two this campaign and drawn both with those games also seeing both teams netting. You have to go back to February 2022 for the last time the hosts last a competitive game in front of their own fans.

Sunderland vs Norwich Match Stats
Both teams to score seems the sensible play here given this happened in both Sunderland league home games and four of five at all grounds. This has also occured in five of the last six in all competitions for Norwich. Both teams seem better going forward than at the back so this looks the way to go.
Sticking with the goalscoring theme and Sky Bet have a nice enhancement on Josh Sergent and Ross Stewart to both net. Stewart has three for the season already for Sunderland and has hit the ground running following promotion. Sergent had a nightmare time in the Premier League but looked excellent against Millwall and should be full of confidence.
