Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich match stats

Stuttgart conceded a goal in the opening 15 minutes for the 10th time last time out against Schalke (2-1 loss) – a league-high. Bayern has scored a league-best 11 goals in this period of matches this term. They will be without Borna Sosa this weekend as he serves a yellow-card suspension. He’s been involved in a club-high eight goals this Bundesliga season (two goals and six assists). They haven’t won any of the nine matches that Sosa hasn’t started this season (four draws and five losses).

Following his two assists against Union Berlin last weekend, Thomas Müller has been involved in 299 Bundesliga goals (141 goals and 158 assists). He could now become just the second player since 2004/05 to have a hand in 300 top-flight goals after Robert Lewandowski (367).

“He had a very good performance. He had chances and could’ve scored, but he made two assists and spoke a lot on the pitch. I’ve often said that even when he doesn’t play, he’s an important contact person for me,” Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann said following that Union success.

“He’s someone who cares about the interests of the team and the club, not just himself. Of course, he wasn’t happy (after the substitution against Gladbach), we spoke and I told him the reasons. He played a top game today.”

Kingsley Coman, meanwhile, has scored in each of his last four competitive games for Bayern for the first time. He’s found the back of the net five times in those four games, having scored just once in his first 18 matches across all competitions this season.
