Stoke had a disappointing first half of the season as they sit in 17th place with just 25 points from their first 21 matches. Alex Neil will have hoped to use the World Cup break to put his ideas across after taking over the role in at the end of August.
Neil will hope to turn around the Potters home form with them losing three of the last four in front of their own fans. Lewis Baker has been the leading light for Stoke with five for the campaign.
Cardiff also replaced their manager during the season with Mark Hudson stepping in for Steve Morison. The Bluebirds sit 19th in the table just one point above the relegation spots.
The Welsh outfit have been mixed performers on the road recently winning three and losing three of their last six. They could do with finding a more consistent scorer as leading goal getters Callum Robinson and Mark Harris have three each.
