Liverpool vs Southampton: Predictions
Liverpool’s disappointing 2020/21 campaign has seen Klopp’s side fail to match their standards set in the previous season where they lifted their first-ever Premier League title. It has been quite a fall from grace for the Reds this season and it has left them slumped in seventh spot and realistically aiming to qualify for the Europa League.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton have also had a disappointing season and still mathematically find themselves in a relegation battle. However, with a 10 point advantage on 18th-placed Fulham with just four games to go it would take something quite incredible for the Saints to go down.
The Austrian manager pulled off a stunning win over Klopp’s side back in January at St. Mary’s as a Danny Ings goal proved enough to clinch all three points for the Saints and pile the misery on the Merseyside team.
Klopp will be hoping to get his side back on track with no win in any of their last three games across all competitions. Draws against Real Madrid, Leeds United and Newcastle United. The game against Steve Bruce’s men should act as a wake-up call for Liverpool as they narrowly avoided defeat against the Premier League strugglers as a result of a late VAR call.

Liverpool vs Southampton: Match Stats
Mohamed Salah will be viewing this game as an opportunity to boost his chances of lifting the 2020/21 Premier League Golden Boot. The Egyptian currently has 20 goals to his name and is still just one behind the leader, Harry Kane, after the Englishman failed to net against the already relegated Sheffield United on the weekend.
No Southampton player has recorded more tackles than Kyle Walker-Peters this season. The former Spurs right-back has played a huge role in Hasenhuttl’s starting XI this season
