Sheffield United vs West Ham: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
One of football’s more unexpected rivalries takes place in the Premier League this weekend as Sheffield United host West Ham.
Sheffield United vs West Ham: Predictions
The colloquially known ‘Carlos Tevez derby’ enters its latest chapter on Sunday as West Ham travel to South Yorkshire for a Premier League encounter with Sheffield United.
Indeed there has been bad blood between these two clubs since the Blades suffered relegation in 2007 and West Ham remained up, owing partly to the exploits of Tevez on the final day of the season.
Fast forward 13 years and both clubs are back in the top flight and enter this match at Bramall Lane with contrasting fortunes once more. Chris Wilder’s side are rooted to the foot of the table and remain one of only three clubs yet to taste victory this season.
The Hammers meanwhile have become quite the force under David Moyes, pulling off huge results against Man City, Leicester, Wolves, Tottenham and more recently Fulham to sit 12th in the table. But, they have never won at Bramall Lane in the Premier League.

Sheffield United vs West Ham: Match Stats
West Ham fans felt aggrieved when these sides met at Bramall Lane last season, with the Hammers having a late goal chalked out upon intervention from VAR after the ball appeared to strike Declan Rice’s arm in the build-up to Robert Snodgrass’ last-minute equaliser.
That infringement meant Sheff Utd walked away 1-0 victors and maintained their 100 per cent record against the Hammers on home turf in the Premier League, but David Moyes will be hoping to break that duck this weekend, and they stand a solid chance.
The Blades have dropped a league-high six points from winning positions so far this season while they are yet to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 11 games. Wilder will be desperate to avoid further points falling by the wayside, but West Ham will take confidence from the host’s recent troubles.
