Bayern continue to dominate the Bundesliga as they sit four points clear at the top, however, their incredible run of 15 league games without defeat has not been smooth sailing as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 straight matches until Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Augsburg.

Schalke’s league form plummeted after the restart following the COVID-19 break to football which saw them fall to a bottom-half finish. The Blues have failed to turn around that form, an 8-0 defeat in the previous meeting in September began what has been a challenging season for the side who are now at the foot of the Bundesliga table.

Robert Lewandowski’s stunning form continues after the Polish striker netted from 12-yards on Wednesday to take his tally up to 22 for the season. The Pole has now netted eight more times this season than the entirety of Sunday opposition, Schalke (14).

Sunday’s hosts have the odds stacked up against them and with only one clean sheet since September it is going to be an uphill task for them to get anything from the game.

Only Koln (six) have conceded more goals in the opening 15 minutes than Schalke (five) this season and in the previous meeting between the two sides, Serge Gnabry put Munich ahead after just four minutes.
