Sassuolo vs Juventus: Predictions
Juventus dropped out of Serie A’s top four at the weekend after a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan, a result that also gave Stefano Pioli’s side a better head-to-head record should the two finish level on points. Now, with three games left to play, Juventus are a point behind fourth-placed Napoli and are at risk of failing to finish in the top four for the first time since 2011.
The result is the latest in what has been regarded as a poor season for Juventus, with Andrea Pirlo’s future in doubt and reports of the club already looking for replacements in the summer. With a game against Inter Milan on the horizon, Juventus will be hoping to return to winning ways in midweek to keep their top four hopes alive.
Standing in their way are a Sassuolo side who have found great form towards the end of the season, in their push for European football. With Coppa Italia finalists, Juventus and Atalanta, both guaranteed European football through the league, Serie A’s Europa Conference League spot will be pushed down to seventh. Sassuolo are currently eighth, just two points behind Roma and dreaming of just a second European campaign.
They enter this game in red hot form, winning five of their past six games, including a 2-1 win over AC Milan with their only dropped points coming in a draw against Atalanta.

Sassuolo vs Juventus: Match Stats
One of the key men behind the hosts’ form has been Domenico Berardi, an academy graduate who has only ever represented Sassuolo despite spending two seasons co-owned by Juventus. The Italian winger has scored 16 goals in Serie A this season, his joint-best in the competition, and will be looking to find the net in four consecutive top-flight home matches for the first time.
In the Juventus corner will be Cristiano Ronaldo, who has the Capocannoniere (Serie A’s top scorer award) in his sights. The Portuguese forward currently enjoys a seven-goal lead over closest rivals Romelu Lukaku, Luis Muriel and Dusan Vlahovic, having scored 27 goals in 31 appearances. Ronaldo also has a good record against Sassuolo, scoring five goals in give league games including his first ever Serie A strike.
