Roma vs AC Milan: Predictions
Roma come into the game after cruising into the last 16 of the Europa League after beating Portuguese side Braga 5-1 on aggregate across their two legs. All eyes will be on Sunday’s game as they have the chance to strengthen their top-four ambition with a win against second-placed Milan.
AC Milan also progressed into the last 16 of the Europa League during the week after beating Red Star Belgrade on away goals. Milan needed a positive under their belt after their emphatic 3-0 drubbing against city rivals Inter last weekend.
Monday’s hosts have a game in hand on third-placed Juventus, however, the Old Lady could extend their lead over Roma with a win against Verona on Saturday night.
Milan will be wary of dropping further behind in the race for the Serie A title after Inter now sit four points clear after their Milan derby win last Sunday. With no win in their last four games across all competitions, Milan will need to turn around their recent form to keep pace with Inter.

Roma vs AC Milan: Match Stats
Milan have not scored in their last two Serie A games and have conceded five goals in the process. Milan’s defence has struggled which will worry Stefano Pioli as his side which has averaged over two goals per game. Roma has not had an out-and-out goalscorer this season, but instead, the goals have been shared amongst their attacking threats.
Roma (30) have collected the most points at home out of all Serie A sides this season, but their visitors on Monday have earned the most points (28) on the road this season. With no goals in his last two Serie A games Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be looking to avoid making it three games without a goal for what would be just the second time in his career.
The points have been shared fairly evenly over the recent meetings between these two sides and Sunday’s clash suggests nothing will change as they come into the game with just five points between them.
