Real Madrid vs Levante: Predictions
The defending La Liga champions are currently second in the table at the halfway stage of the season, but they are seven points behind rivals Atletico Madrid who do also have a game in hand. Real Madrid are still suffering from their poor start to the season, in which they lost three of their opening 11 games.
Since defeat to Alaves at the end of November which left them in fifth, Real Madrid have gone unbeaten in their past nine league games to move up the table, a run which included handing Atletico their only defeat so far this season. However, across all competitions, Real Madrid have been through a somewhat sticky patch, losing to Athletic Bilbao in the Supercopa and third-tier CD Alyocano in the Copa del Rey, before returning to winning ways against Alaves.
Meanwhile, Levante enter this game with one eye looking over their shoulders in a very close relegation battle. Despite being 12th, Levante are just five points clear of 18th-placed Alaves, but it is to their credit they are not closer.
Levante started the 2020/21 La Liga campaign with just 11 points from their opening 11 games, winning twice and losing four times and were in the relegation zone in the middle of December. However, in their past seven games in the league, Levante have beaten that tally, winning 12 points including three wins and just one defeat.

Real Madrid vs Levante: Match Stats
After consecutive defeats, Real Madrid re-found their winning touch against Alaves last weekend, running out 4-1 winners. Although it was comfortable victory in the end, Los Blancos have now conceded in their consecutive matches across all competitions, and four in their past six.
Karim Benzema was the goalscoring star of that win over Alaves, finding the net twice, and Levante have a lot of be afraid when they finish Madrid this weekend. The French striker has scored four goals in his last six La Liga matches against Levante, while also adding two assists.
