Real Madrid vs Atletico: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Real Madrid host rivals Atletico in one of the biggest La Liga Madrid derbies in recent memory on Saturday night.
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Predictions
Atletico Madrid are currently one point clear at the top of the La Liga table with two games in hand on second-placed Real Sociedad, testament to how well they have started the new campaign.
Diego Simeone’s side are still unbeaten in the league, winning eight of their 10 games so far including a run of seven straight victories, and have already beaten Barcelona in one of the clashes between the traditional Big Three.
Real Madrid have also beaten Barcelona, but they remain six points behind leaders Atletico in fourth, having played a game more than their rivals. It hasn’t been the best season for Real Madrid, but they will be boosted by their Champions League win in midweek, securing their spot in the last-16 when an early exit had looked so likely.
This will be Atletico’s biggest test of their title credentials, and a win over their bitter rivals could go some way to cementing their spot as the team to beat this season, while also opening a massive nine-point gap over Zinedine Zidane’s side.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Match Stats
Atletico Madrid don’t have a good recent record against Real Madrid, failing to win their last eight La Liga matches, but Simeone’s current side appears to be in the best position to put that run to an end. They have been wonderful in the league, winning seven consecutive games, while Real Madrid have won just two of their past five.
One of the big reasons for Atletico Madrid’s winning run is their defence, which appears to have taken another step up. They have conceded just two goals in their 10 league games so far this season, and with Real Madrid struggling in front of goal at times, it’s hard to see them breaching the Atletico net.
