Rangers vs Arsenal: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Arsenal continue their pre-season efforts with a trip to Ibrox to face Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Saturday at 2pm BST.
Rangers vs Arsenal: Predictions
Arsenal kicked off their pre-season efforts with a disappointing display against Jack Ross’ Hibernian. The Gunners fell behind after a glaring goalkeeping error and were left with only themselves to blame after Eddie Nketiah missed a golden opportunity in the first half. Nicolas Pepe will be hoping to redeem himself after seeing his penalty saved as Arsenal fell 2-1 to Hibs.
Steven Gerrard’s side face Arsenal in the third of their pre-season friendlies following a narrow victory against Partick Thistle which was followed up by a narrow defeat against Tranmere Rovers last Saturday. The Scottish champions will be hoping to bounce back in style against the Premier League side after Gerrard publically criticised his side for the defeat against Tranmere.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can prove more clinical in front of goal against Gerrard’s men ahead of their trip to America as their pre-season friendlies continue against Inter Milan in the Florida Cup. As for Rangers, Gerrard will be hoping for an instant bounce back as they aim to prepare themselves to defend their Scottish crown.

Rangers vs Arsenal: Match Stats
Nicolas Pepe is yet to live up to his £72m price tag after making the move to north London from Lille. It feels like a big summer ahead for the Ivorian and following his penalty miss against Hibernian, the 26-year-old will be aiming for redemption in getting his name on the scoresheet.
The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, described his defence as “embarrassing” against Tranmere and Mikel Arteta was probably thinking the same against Hibernian towards his defence. Neither side have proven sound at the back in their early pre-season efforts which could lead Saturday’s game to be an open affair with both sides having chances on goal.

Well, these two sides have not met for decades and there is very little information to go off from their early pre-season efforts. However, the one thing which has become evident is they are both experiencing issues at the back.
