Cardiff go into this weekend six points clear of the relegation zone, thanks to three wins from their last four games, including a 2-0 home victory over Bristol City last time out. Goals from Sory Kaba and Jaden Philogene ensured the Bluebirds made it back-to-back home wins for the first time this season.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men also have an impressive recent record against Saturday’s opponents, going unbeaten in each of the previous eight matches between the two sides (W5, D3), although the last two meetings have finished goalless.
Preston, on the other hand, currently sit in mid-table after four draws in their last five matches (W1) has seen them drop eight points behind the play-off places and Norwich in 6th. Ryan Lowe’s side are unbeaten in their last three at home however (W1, D3), after losing five straight league games at Deepdale from December to the start of February.
