Porto have a strong recent history in the Champions League and have consistently performed above expectations, but they’ve been handed an incredibly tough group in this year’s competition – even if they did manage to get a point on the board against the odds in their opening fixture, an away trip to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool’s history in this competition is even more storied and they’ve lifted the famous trophy on no fewer than six occasions. Their opening match of this year’s version was a real nail-biter in which they overcame a 1-2 half-time deficit to defeat AC Milan 3-2 at Anfield.
In the Primeira Liga, Dragoes have made a strong start with five wins and two draws to their name so far, but Benfica are leading the way with a maximum 21 points to their name. In such a tough UCL group, Sérgio Conceição’s men will hope to make home advantage count in front of their vociferous supporters on Tuesday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s men meanwhile do sit top of the Premier League table, despite a 3-3 away draw with newly-promoted Brentford over the weekend. The Reds haven’t lost a competitive match since they took on Real Madrid in this competition way back in April – can that run continue with another three points in Portugal?

Porto have failed to find the net in only one of their eight competitive games this season and they smashed in five in a home win over Moreirense last week. Liverpool were unable to keep a clean sheet in their Matchday One win over AC Milan and shipped three goals against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday, so both teams to score alongside an away win looks like a good punt here.
Mohamed Salah was on the scoresheet on Liverpool’s last visit to Estadio do Dragao back in 2019 as the Reds ran out 1-4 winners that evening. He’s in scintillating form at the moment too, with a goal in each of his last four outings, so it’s hard to look past the 18/5 price for him to score first in this one with Unibet.
