Olympiacos vs Man City: Predictions
Pep Guardiola’s men have taken just one point from their last two Premier League games, drawing 1-1 with Liverpool before falling to a 2-0 defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend. As a result, the Citizens find themselves languishing 13th in the table, eight points adrift of the summit.
City’s last win came against Wednesday’s opponents with goals from Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo inspiring a 3-0 victory. That being said, the score remained 1-0 until the 81st minute and Olympiacos certainly gave as good as they got at the Etihad.
Pedro Martins’ side have lost each of their two Champions League games since winning their group stage opener 1-0 against Marseille and know they need a result here in order to keep in touch with Porto and Man City above them.
If Olympiacos’ domestic form is anything to go by, City could be in for a tough night in Athens, with the perennial Greek champions taking 19 points from seven Super League matches so far, conceding just one goal along the way, including beating rivals Panathinaikos 1-0 on Saturday.
