Norwich finally their opening win of the campaign on Tuesday evening as they defeated Huddersfield 2-1. The result lifted them to 17th place with one win, one draw and two defeat from their opening four. The expected goals data suggests this is harsh on the Canaries who should have won three of these games.
At Carrow Road, the East Anglian outfit have won just three of their last 16 in all competitions. Both teams to score has occured in each of the three played at this ground this season. They a great home record against their opponents here who have failed to win any of their last 13 here.
Millwall will come into the game full of confidence after two injury-time goals rescued a point for them at Swansea in a 2-2 draw. It meant the London outfit are now unbeaten in two and sit fifth on seven points. They need to be alert from the off as they have shipped five goals in the opening 23 minutes of their last three.
On the road, the Lions are winless this season losing to Sheffield United and drawing at Swansea. They even lost in the League Cup on their travels going out to League One side Cambridge. It means that they are now winless in their last nine in all competitions on their travels without a clean sheet since March 8th.
Norwich vs Millwall Match Stats
Both sides have shown good aspects and bad aspects since the start of the season so finding a match winner could be tough. One interesting thing to note is the two late goals Millwall scored in midweek on top of a late strike against Coventry. Norwich have habit of shipping late goals (Huddersfield in midweek and Birmingham in the League Cup) and backing the visitors to net last looks sensible.
Marcelino Nunez is starting to find himself at the Championship and he was pulling the strings for Norwich in midweek. He averages three shots per game for the season but has netted just once. This might explain why he is as high as 11/2 to net against a team who have shipped six times in their last three.
