Switzerland are currently second with eight points from four games which has them three above Northern Ireland and Bulgaria and six behind Italy. It is back-to-back draws for the Swiss and just one defeat in their last 15 (two if you count their Euros loss to Spain on penalties). At home, you have to go back to October 2020 for their previous defeat which came against Croatia.
Northern Ireland have made a reasonable start to the campaign with one victory, two draws and a defeat from their four played. Last time out they drew with Switzerland which extended their unbeaten run to three and just one defeat in six. On the road, they have won their last two and three of their last four.
Switzerland vs Northern Ireland: Match Stats
Given these two teams have met recently and it ended goalless it is no surprise to see under 2.5 goals so short. You can still get some value by going under 1.5 goals which would have paid in the last two Switzerland games and three of the last four for Northern Ireland.
You feel that the hosts might just have that little bit extra quality in front of goal with players like Breel Embolo and Haris Seferovic to get over the line so take Switzerland 1-0 in the correct score market.
