Karamba Battle: Tournament guide, how to join & welcome offer | Squawka

Looking for some tips on this weekend’s Premier League action? Here are the bets we are placing in order to try and win the latest Squawka Karamba Battle Tournament (18+ only).

Premier League tips for this weekend

The Premier League draws to a close this weekend with a full round of fixtures as those final loose ends are tied up. If you fancy your chances of winning some cash prizes, you can get involved with the Karamba Battle this weekend on the Premier League fixtures and face off against Squawka writers and readers as well as other Karamba users to attempt to win the latest tournament and reign supreme.

Arsenal vs Brighton

Arsenal look set to end the season in fine form following a run of four consecutive victories in the Premier League. Now they go into the final day of the season knowing they can overtake arch-rivals Tottenham and secure a spot in European football for next season.

In all four of those victories over Crystal Palace, Chelsea, West Brom and Newcastle, the Gunners have led to nil at half-time whereas Brighton had to overcome a two goal deficit to overcome Manchester City in midweek and have nothing to play for on this trip to the capital.

Our Tip –  Arsenal to lead at half-time @ 23/20

Fulham vs Newcastle

Fulham’s relegation has been long-since confirmed and although they produced an improved performance to draw with Manchester United in midweek, the Cottagers have now gone nine games without winning in the Premier League and we don’t expect them to bow out with three points this weekend either.

Newcastle United are the visitors to Craven Cottage and the Magpies have actually enjoyed a real upturn in form in the latter stages of the campaign, winning four of their last seven games including two on the road against Burnley and Leicester City.

Our Tip –  Away win @ 11/5 with Karamba

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Roberto Firmino’s form has improved dramatically in the last few weeks. The Brazilian attacker has sometimes come in for criticism for his lack of goals compared to his Liverpool team-mates, but after a brace in the win over Manchester United he found the net again in the midweek win over Burnley.

After a run of 15 games without finding the net, those three goals will undoubtedly give the 29 year old a confidence boost as he looks to put the Crystal Palace defence to the sword again in the Reds’ fight for a top four finish. He scored twice in the 0-7 win that Jurgen Klopp’s men enjoyed at Selhurst Park earlier in the season.

Our Tip – Roberto Firmino to score at any time with Karamba

West Ham vs Southampton

West Ham have now secured European football in some form for next season, but the competition is yet to be confirmed so they will want to finish the season with a victory, particularly with supporters back inside the London Stadium ready to show their appreciation after an impressive campaign.

The visitors to the Hammers are a Southampton side that have struggled in the second half of the season, particularly on the road. The Saints have lost their last four consecutive away games and what’s more, they’ve failed to even find the net in three of those defeats.

Our Tip –  Home win to nil @ 21/10 with Karamba

What is the Karamba Battle?

So how does the Karamba Battle work? Well, once you’ve opted in, you can head to the widget on the site – or just above on this very page, find the tournaments you want to compete in and simply click join to get started.

Then, place your bets as normal and providing they land within the parameters of the tournament – i.e. minimum stake, minimum odds and minimum bets placed, you will have the opportunity to rise up – or fall down – the leaderboard.

There are cash prizes to be won, as well as awards to be won for other specifics – such as the most successful accumulator bettor or the best at backing a particular market – and since the points you earn aren’t tied to your stake, you can compete for prizes without having to stake large amounts.

This weekend’s Squawka Battle centres around the Premier League but you can also place your Premier League bets like ours above in any of the Football Beat the Bot Tournaments for your chance to compete for the prizes.
