Squawka Betting Tips: Our best Premier League bets for this weekend with Karamba Battle

Karamba Battle: Tournament guide, how to join & welcome offer | Squawka

Looking for some tips on this weekend’s Premier League action? Here are the bets we are placing in order to try and win the latest Squawka Karamba Battle Tournament (18+ only).

Premier League tips for this weekend

After another two winners last week thanks to Wolves’ home win and clean sheet against Sheffield United and Jesse Lingard’s goal in West Ham’s defeat to Newcastle, we’re now on 11 winners from our last 16 tips ahead of the Karamba weekend battles. Can we pick any more up this weekend?

Liverpool vs Newcastle

Liverpool have improved their home form slightly of late, but they certainly continue to miss the colossal figure of Virgil van Dijk at the heart of their defence. In their last seven league games at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s side have failed to keep a single clean sheet.

Newcastle United are perhaps not known for being the most proficient attacking team in the Premier League, but they have racked up seven goals in their last three games as Steve Bruce adopts a more attacking approach to try and haul his side out of relegation trouble. The Reds should have enough for the win, but we do expect them to concede here.

Our Tip – Liverpool to win & BTTS @ 8/5 with Karamba

West Ham vs Chelsea

If you’re looking for goals, West Ham are the team to watch in the Premier League at the moment. Each of the Hammers’ last five games have seen a minimum of five goals scored and in Jesse Lingard, they also possess one of the country’s most in-form attacking players. The 28 year old has nine goals to his name in ten games since joining the club on loan in January.

Chelsea may have played out a bore draw with Brighton in midweek, but they’ve been involved in some more open matches prior to that fixture against the Seagulls. The Blues two previous league games ended in a shock 2-5 home defeat to West Brom and a thumping 4-1 home victory over Crystal Palace.

Our Tip – Over 3.5 goals @ 2/1 with Karamba

Sheffield United vs Brighton

Even though they will be missing the suspended Ben White for this trip to Bramall Lane, Brighton & Hove Albion will feel confident of keeping a clean sheet having kept three in their last four Premier League matches against Newcastle United, Everton and Chelsea.

What’s more, they will now take on an already-relegated Sheffield United outfit who have been in woeful form of late. The Blades have lost their last six in the Premier League and have even failed to find the net in five of those defeats, so expect Graham Potter’s side to grind out a win to nil here.

Our Tip – Brighton to win to nil @ 6/4 with Karamba

Leeds vs Manchester United

Both of these teams have been known for featuring in high-scoring matches so far this season, not least when they played out an eight-goal thriller in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign – but most of the goals these teams have been scoring recently have come in the latter stages of their fixtures.

Leeds United have found the net at least once after half-time in each of their last four Premier League outings, while Manchester United have racked up no fewer that eight second-half goals in their last three games. Expect this one to burst into life after the break.

Tip – Over 1.5 second half goals @ 5/6

What is the Karamba Battle?

So how does the Karamba Battle work? Well, once you’ve opted in, you can head to the widget on the site – or just above on this very page, find the tournaments you want to compete in and simply click join to get started.

Then, place your bets as normal and providing they land within the parameters of the tournament – i.e. minimum stake, minimum odds and minimum bets placed, you will have the opportunity to rise up – or fall down – the leaderboard.

There are cash prizes to be won, as well as awards to be won for other specifics – such as the most successful accumulator bettor or the best at backing a particular market – and since the points you earn aren’t tied to your stake, you can compete for prizes without having to stake large amounts.

This weekend’s Squawka Battle centres around the Premier League but you can also place your Premier League bets like ours above in any of the Football Beat the Bot Tournaments for your chance to compete for the prizes.
