Karamba Battle: Tournament guide, how to join & welcome offer | Squawka

Looking for some tips on this weekend’s Premier League action? Here are the bets we are placing in order to try and win the latest Squawka Karamba Battle Tournament (18+ only).

Premier League tips for this weekend

The Premier League is drawing to a close but there are still plenty of loose ends to be tied up in the final few weeks and some hugely important games still to be played. If you fancy your chances of winning some cash prizes, you can get involved with the Karamba Battle this weekend on the Premier League fixtures and face off against Squawka writers and readers as well as other Karamba users to attempt to win the latest tournament and reign supreme.

Burnley vs Leeds

Burnley are perhaps not well-known for featuring in high-scoring games, but they have been involved in plenty of late. Their games have been bursting into life in the early stages, and two or more goals have been scored in the first half in no fewer than eight of their last 10 games.

Three of the goals in Leeds’ 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend were scored before the half-time whistle and indeed, Marcelo Bielsa’s side haven’t been shy of an early goal this season – not least in the reverse of this fixture when they took the lead after just five minutes.

Our Tip –  Gareth Bale to score at any time @ 6/4 with Karamba

Tottenham vs Wolves

Tottenham’s interim boss Ryan Mason will be expecting his team to pick up three points here following that disappointing loss at Elland Road last time out, so we expect them to go on the attack against Wolves – which could lead to another open, high-scoring game.

All of the London side’s last six games have been three or more goals scored, and in five of those games a minimum of four goals have been scored. What’s more, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have won on their last two visits to Spurs, with both games seeing four or more goals scored.

Our Tip – Over 3.5 goals @ 39/20 with Karamba

West Brom vs Liverpool

With relegation already confirmed, West Brom have started playing with a little freedom recently, and have lost only two of their last six games. On Sunday, they face a Liverpool side who will make the trip to the Hawthorns on the back of a huge match versus arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Will fatigue set in for the Reds? Well, if so, they could certainly be facing better opponents than the Baggies. The Midlands outfit have been something of a ‘bogey team’ for Jurgen Klopp’s men in recent years, avoiding defeat in each of the last four meetings between the two sides.

Our Tip –  Home win or draw @ 14/5 with Karamba

Everton vs Sheffield United

It’s been a miserable season for Sheffield United, with relegation confirmed long ago and interim manager Paul Heckingbottom unable to reverse the side’s fortunes since taking over from Chris Wilder. The Blades have now lost 10 of their last 12 in the Premier League and have failed to score in nine of those defeats.

It could be another tough evening for the South Yorkshire side as they head to Merseyside to face Everton on Sunday. The Toffees are fighting for a place in Europe next season and have won two of their last three games to nil, against Arsenal and West Ham United last weekend.

Our Tip –  Home win to nil @ 20/21 with Karamba

What is the Karamba Battle?

So how does the Karamba Battle work? Well, once you’ve opted in, you can head to the widget on the site – or just above on this very page, find the tournaments you want to compete in and simply click join to get started.

Then, place your bets as normal and providing they land within the parameters of the tournament – i.e. minimum stake, minimum odds and minimum bets placed, you will have the opportunity to rise up – or fall down – the leaderboard.

There are cash prizes to be won, as well as awards to be won for other specifics – such as the most successful accumulator bettor or the best at backing a particular market – and since the points you earn aren’t tied to your stake, you can compete for prizes without having to stake large amounts.

This weekend’s Squawka Battle centres around the Premier League but you can also place your Premier League bets like ours above in any of the Football Beat the Bot Tournaments for your chance to compete for the prizes.
