Leicester vs Liverpool Tip
With Liverpool looking unreliable in front of goal at the minute, we’re backing hosts Leicester to open the scoring at the King Power and one man who loves to score first is Harvey Barnes. Of the seven goals the winger has managed in the Premier League this season, six have been the opening goal in the game.
First goalscorer pick: Harvey Barnes
Crystal Palace vs Burnley Tip
Luka Milivojevic hasn’t scored for Crystal Palace this season, but he has been prolific in the past, managing 10 goals in 2017/2018 and 12 in the following campaign. The Serbian has always been a threat from set-pieces and that could be the difference in what is likely to be a low-scoring game against strugglers Burnley.
First goalscorer pick: Luka Milivojevic
Man City vs Tottenham Tip
The man in form for Manchester City at the moment is German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. The ex-Borussia Dortmund man managed two goals in his side’s emphatic 1-4 win over Liverpool last weekend despite missing from the penalty spot and with nine league goals to his name, this is already his most prolific season to date.
First goalscorer pick: Ilkay Gundogan
Brighton vs Aston Villa Tip
Ollie Watkins has made the step up to the Premier League with impressive composure this season and we’re backing him to open the scoring ahead of another former Brentford man in Brighton’s Neal Maupay here. The Aston Villa marksman has 10 league goals to his name so far, six of which have been deadlock breakers.
First goalscorer pick: Ollie Watkins
Southampton vs Wolves Tip
Southampton returned to winning form in the FA Cup in midweek with a 0-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers who they now face in the Premier League at St Mary’s on Sunday. Danny Ings opened the scoring in that victory for the Saints and he is their biggest goal threat with seven in the Premier League so far this term.
First goalscorer pick: Danny Ings
West Brom vs Man Utd Tip
Once again we’re placing our faith in Bruno Fernandes to open the scoring for Manchester United as they head to 19th placed West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. The Portuguese midfielder has scored 18 goals in all competitions this term, including two in his last two Premier League outings.
First goalscorer pick: Bruno Fernandes
Arsenal vs Leeds Tip
Patrick Bamford has proved many of his doubters wrong this season in finding the net 12 times in the Premier League thus far. The ex-Chelsea apprentice was very impressive in Leeds’ last away game at Leicester City and he followed that performance up with another goal in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out.
First goalscorer pick: Patrick Bamford
Everton vs Fulham Tip
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin a doubt, Brazilian winger Richarlison will hope to shoulder the goalscoring burden for Everton this weekend. The former Watford man scored twice in the Toffees’ FA Cup win over Tottenham on Wednesday night and will expect to cause relegation-threatened Fulham plenty of problems on Sunday evening too.
First goalscorer pick: Richarlison
West Ham vs Sheffield United Tip
West Ham have enjoyed a remarkable season so far and one of their stand-out performers has been Czech Republic international Tomas Soucek. The red card he picked up at Fulham last week has since been overturned so he will be out to find his ninth goal of the Premier League campaign against bottom club Sheffield United on Monday night.
First goalscorer pick: Tomas Soucek
Chelsea vs Newcastle Tip
Tammy Abraham was the hero for Chelsea as they edged past Championship Barnsley in the FA Cup last week. The England international scored his 12th goal of the season to send the Blues into the final eight but with plenty of competition for places at Stamford Bridge, he’ll hope to keep his foot on the pedal with another goal against Newcastle here.
