Aston Villa vs Arsenal Tip
Ollie Watkins has looked like a fine acquisition for Aston Villa since he arrived from Brentford in the summer. The 25 year old has scored twice in his last three games at the time of writing to take his seasonal tally to eight, two of which came in the Villains’ 0-3 win at Arsenal. What’s more, the Gunners defence could be a little light here after red cards for David Luiz and Bernd Leno at Wolves in midweek.
First goalscorer pick: Ollie Watkins
Burnley vs Brighton Tip
With the home advantage, Burnley boss Sean Dyche will expect his team to grind out a victory in this important fixture involving two teams towards the bottom of the table. Chris Wood could miss out through injury, so Ashley Barnes will be tasked with leading the line and the 31 year old will be keen to find the net against his former club.
First goalscorer pick: Ashley Barnes
Newcastle vs Southampton Tip
Back among the goals last weekend was Newcastle’s star striker Callum Wilson. The ex-Coventry City man was entrusted with adding some goals to a mis-firing Magpies attack and he has rewarded Steve Bruce with 10 goals in 20 matches so far this term. On Saturday, he will come up against a Southampton defence that will surely be reeling having conceded no fewer than nine goals to Manchester United on Tuesday evening.
First goalscorer pick: Callum Wilson
Fulham vs West Ham Tip
West Ham are happy to have Michail Antonio fit and firing again after the forward was plagued with injuries once again in the opening stages of this season. The former Sheffield Wednesday man has scored winners against West Brom and Burnley since his return and will hope for chances against strugglers Fulham, who have now gone 10 league games without a win.
First goalscorer pick: Michail Antonio
Man Utd vs Everton Tip
It’s hard to look past Bruno Fernandes in any Manchester United game this season when it comes to the goalscoring markets. The Portuguese attacking midfielder has 17 in all competitions so far, including one in the Red Devils’ eye-catching 9-0 victory over Southampton on Tuesday night and he has scored three times in his two previous Premier League matches versus Everton.
First goalscorer pick: Bruno Fernandes
Tottenham vs West Brom Tip
Although Tottenham aren’t in great form at the moment, they should still be able to overcome a West Brom outfit that are second bottom in the table with just one point from their last four games. Harry Kane is missing through injury, but Spurs need not fear too much as they can still call upon Son Heung-min, who is level with Kane on 12 Premier League goals so far this term.
First goalscorer pick: Son Heung-min
Wolves vs Leicester Tip
Harvey Barnes has a knack of opening the scoring for Leicester City and with the Foxes struggling for goals in the absence of Jamie Vardy, boss Brendan Rodgers will hope for a big performance from the winger against fellow Midlands outfit Wolves this weekend. Of Barnes’ five league goals so far this term, four have been the opener in the match.
First goalscorer pick: Harvey Barnes
Liverpool vs Man City Tip
Gabriel Jesus has looked dangerous in recent weeks, scoring in two of his last three games for Manchester City in all competitions to take his tally to 75 goals in his time with the club. Having scored goal in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool earlier in the season, he will hope to put his team’s most likely title rivals to the sword on Sunday afternoon.
First goalscorer pick: Gabriel Jesus
Sheffield United vs Chelsea Tip
Chelsea’s new manager Thomas Tuchel seems keen on Timo Werner as a central striker, and the German boss will be hoping his compatriot can explode onto the Premier League scene in the second half of the season having struggled a little so far. This match against the league’s bottom side could prove to kickstart some better goalscoring form.
First goalscorer pick: Timo Werner
Leeds vs Crystal Palace Tip
Patrick Bamford enjoyed one of his best showings in a Leeds shirt last weekend, scoring once and assisting twice in his team’s impressive away win over Leicester City. The forward now has 11 Premier League goals so far this season, six of which have broken the deadlock in Whites’ games.
