Australia odds: To win 2022 World Cup, how far will they go, top scorer and more

Australia were one of the last sides to qualify for the World Cup but will be hoping to make a big impression in Qatar.

Australia qualified for their fifth World Cup in a row and will be looking to make it out of the group stage for just the second time in Qatar.

The Socceroos haven’t taken the footballing world by storm but have always been a firm favourite of many people, due to their excitable fans and decent showings on the pitch.

The nation are lacking the star names of previous years but their team spirit can’t be knocked and they’ll be looking to pull off a shock and qualify from a tough group.

Australia to win 2022 World Cup odds

You can find Australia at 150/1 to win the 2022 World Cup.

Australia finished third in their AFC qualifying group, behind Saudi Arabia and Japan, before beating UAE in the 4th round. This meant they had to take on the side that finished fifth in the Conmebol qualifying group, Peru. Australia managed to win that game on penalties, securing their place in Qatar.

This will be their sixth appearance at the World Cup but they’ve now qualified for the last five competitions. Their best showing was in 2006, where they reached the round of 16 before being beaten by eventual winners, Italy.
