Mauricio Pochettino will welcome a break from Ligue 1 action following his side’s disappointing draw against Rennes on the weekend which severely hampered their hopes of getting their hands on the Ligue 1 title this season. The Parisians sit three points off top of the table Lille with just two games remaining of their campaign.
Wednesday’s hosts do not have much to play for the in the league so will have all eyes set on the task at hand as they aim to end their season on a high. Michel Der Zakarian’s side won in dramatic style against Strasbourg on the weekend as they held off a late onslaught from the relegation fighting side.
PSG have not had it easy in recent weeks having also suffered heartbreak in the Champions League last week against Manchester City. Without Kylian Mbappe through injury, Pochettino’s men looked toothless on the attack and severely lacked any discipline needed at their time of need with the game falling away from them.

Defensive issues have plagued Pochettino’s side of late. In PSG’s last 11 games across all competitions, they have only been able to keep one clean sheet. Although it came in their last French Cup game, it will hardly provide them a confidence boost going into the game and should only encourage their hosts.
However, in the same games, Pochettino’s men have proven fierce in front of goal having found the back of the net on 26 occasions. Without Mbappe, Neymar has been their main goal threat with the Brazilian netting twice in the three games without the 22-year-olf Frenchman.
