QPR have had an indifferent start to the new season, struggling to string together any kind of consistent form in their opening eight Championship matches. Opening the campaign in defeat to Blackburn, QPR bounced back immediate by beating Middlesbrough but then went winless in their next three league games – and were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Charlton.
The Rs did manage to string together two wins against Watford and Hull, both of whom entered the respective matches in the top three, but then they faltered again. Last time out QPR were beaten by Swansea, who were 21st at the start of their game, losing to a first-half strike from Joel Piroe who had also missed a penalty.
Millwall have also struggled for consistency this season but they are yet to win more than one consecutive match. After opening the campaign with a 2-0 win to Stoke, the Lions then lost to Cambridge United in the EFL Cup and Sheffield United in the league. A win against Coventry was later followed up by a draw with Swansea in which Millwall only salvaged a point with two injury-time own goals.
But they couldn’t even build on that boost, losing their next three matches, though two came against recently-relegated sides in Norwich and Burnley – either side of a defeat to in-form Reading. Last time out Millwall did manage to beat Cardiff, so Gary Rowett’s side will now be hoping they can finally win back-to-back matches.

Millwall vs QPR match stats
Chris Willock has been in excellent form for QPR this season and is the club’s top scorer despite missing a few games at the start of the campaign through injury. The former Arsenal man has four goals in five games and has only failed to score in one match, QPR’s 1-0 defeat to Swansea.
Millwall haven’t been the best in front of goal but QPR haven’t exactly been secure at the back. The Rs are yet to keep a clean sheets in the Championship this season, and have conceded twice in a game on three occasions.

Millwall won the corresponding fixture last season to end a seven-game winless streak against QPR which spanned back to December 2017 and QPR don’t often enjoy playing at the Den. The Rs have won just two of their past 10 visits to Millwall.
