Chuba Akpom finished the 2022/23 season as the Championship top scorer, finding the back of the net 28 times in 40 appearances. The former Arsenal man also set a new record, becoming the first ever Championship player to score in nine consecutive home games, excelling in his new role in Michael Carrick’s set-up at the Riverside.
