Marine v Tottenham live stream, betting tips, predictions & odds | FA Cup match preview
Tottenham Hotspur get their FA Cup journey underway when they travel to non-league side Marine in the third round on Sunday evening.
Marine vs Tottenham: Predictions
Tottenham have already secured a spot in one cup final this season, beating Brentford 2-0 in the Carabao Cup semi-final in midweek to set up a showdown with Manchester City in April. The win continued Tottenham’s recent unbeaten run, now at four games, after a minor blip in which they lost to Liverpool and Leicester.
But now the attention turns to the FA Cup, a competition Tottenham haven’t won since 1991, also the last time they reached the final. Entering in the third round as always, Tottenham have made it over the first hurdle in each of the past six seasons, beating lower-league opposition in four of those years. The last time they failed to reach the fourth round was in 2013/14 when they were beaten 2-0 by North London rivals Arsenal.
It’s a different story for Tottenham this year, however, as they face a team currently in the eighth tier of English football. Northern Premier League Division One North West side Marine are in the third round of the FA Cup for just the second ever time, previously doing so in 1992/93, and have already played seven games in his season’s competition.
Joining in the Preliminary Round, Marine had to play five games just to reach the First Round Proper, and knocked Colchester United and Havant and Waterlooville out to set up this monumental tie.

Marine vs Tottenham: Match Stats
Carlos Vinicius was signed last summer to give Harry Kane a rest and if ever there’s a game where Tottenham can afford not to pick the Englishman it’s this one. Most of Vinicius’ opportunities have come in the Europa League this season and he scored three goals in four starts. Against non-league opposition, the Brazilian should be expected to fill his boots.
While Tottenham enjoy their time in front of goal, it’s not unreasonable to expect a quite evening for Jose Mourinho’s defence. Even a rotated back line, with Joe Hart potential in goal, should have enough to stop Marine from scoring this weekend, especially if they have been paying attention Mourinho in training. A goal conceded will be a disappointment for Mourinho and Tottenham, so the defence will be alert.
