Gareth Southgate and his side made a dream start to qualifying with two victories from their opening two games seeing off Italy 2-1 and Ukraine 2-0. This game is the first of a double header in qualifying with a home fixture against North Macedonia to follow on Monday evening.
Malta have played just one qualifier so far and that was a 2-0 home loss to Italy. They have since played a friendly (on June 9th) and warmed up for this one with a 1-0 victory at Luxembourg.

Malta vs England match stats
The expectation is that England will smash Malta and while this is probable at the odds it might make sense to oppose this a little. Italy where held to just two goals here recently with none of the last nine visitors scoring more than two goals. After a long season England might not have the energy or desire to cut loose so backing them to come out on top here appeals with the game going under 3.5 goals. It also looks worth a little interest on England to win this 3-0 which was their score in recent defeats against sides like Wales and Senegal.
Harry Kane needs no introduction and grabbed a brace on his last visit to Malta so two or more goals for Kane might appeal. England have kept clean sheets in four of their five previous meetings with Malta so that is another angle to approach. Ryan Camenzuli got four bookings in World Cup Qualifying for the hosts and might be worth looking at in the card markets.

It is no shock to see that England have won all five meetings with Malta leading on aggregate 14 goals scored to just one conceded. Harry Kane grabbed a brace when these sides last met and the Tottenham forward could be the man to damage here.
