Sheffield United vs Liverpool: Predictions
With just 13 games left it appears Chris Wilder’s side are playing for nothing more than pride as they failed to close the 14 point gap on Newcastle after losing to 18th-placed Fulham last time out in the Premier League. A slight glimpse of hope after picking up wins against Manchester United and West Brom have quickly become a distant memory.
Liverpool have been struck by another key injury, this time captain Jordan Henderson is ruled out for the foreseeable future after the midfielder was forced to have surgery following his injury picked up in their league defeat to their city rivals Everton.
In the previous meeting between the two sides, Liverpool fought from behind to edge a 2-1 victory at Anfield back in October. Since both sides have struggled in reaching their respective targets for the season as defeat to Everton saw Liverpool drop to sixth place.
Jurgen Klopp will be encouraged by the return of Virgil Van Dijk to training, however, their main defender is not scheduled to return to playing for some weeks as the Reds aim to ease him back into contention to avoid any setbacks.

Sheffield United vs Liverpool: Match Stats
Mohamed Salah leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot this season on 17 goals. Yet the Egyptian has only scored once in his three appearances against the Blades but will be looking to add to that in what is expected to be the last meeting between the sides for at least one season.
Klopp may take some encouragement in his defensive woes ss he comes up against the side that has scored the least goals (15) and kept only one clean sheet all season.
