Simeone has not rotated heavily in this competition despite facing weaker opposition. As such, he is expected to deploy a near-enough full strength side to try and arrest the club’s recent wobble. Antoine Griezmann started and assisted in the previous round against Oviedo and he is likely to retain his place. The Frenchman has performed well in the league, and will be hoping to translate that form to the Spanish Cup. In fact, Griezmann is the only Atletico Madrid player with double digits for direct goalscoring contributions in La Liga this season (five goals, five assists).
