Leicester City are set to embark on another Europa League adventure after the disappointment of last season’s Round of 32 exit at the hands of Slavia Prague. Napoli provide stern competition in the first match of the group stages, but the Foxes will feel capable of securing a route through a group completed by Spartak Moscow and Legia Warsaw.
That said, it’s not been a great start to the domestic campaign for Leicester, despite beating Manchester City in the Community Shield. Like Leicester, the Neopolitans suffered an unexpected Round of 32 defeat in the Europa League stages last term, so new manager Luciano Spaletti, formerly of Roma and Inter Milan, will be hoping for more success in this competition starting with a first ever Europa League win against English opposition on Thursday night.
