Leicester vs Liverpool: Predictions
After three defeats in a row at Anfield, Liverpool will be happy to be on the road this weekend. However, they travel to third-placed Leicester who could pull six points clear of Jurgen Klopp’s men should they pick up all three points on Saturday.
Leicester also suffered defeat in their last home league game in a 3-1 loss to Leeds United. The Foxes will also feel they dropped points on the weekend as they were held to a 0-0 draw away to 14th-placed Wolves.
Despite Champions League action restarting next week, Klopp will not feel comfortable in resting key players due to their recent form. Since Christmas, Liverpool have only won two of their nine Premier League games which includes four defeats.
Brendan Rodgers will view this game as a golden opportunity to pick up another three points in his quest to lead Leicester to Champions League football for next season. A win for the Foxes could even see them leapfrog Manchester United into second spot – depending on their result at West Brom.
Leicester vs Liverpool: Match Stats
Jamie Vardy has netted 11 times in the Premier League this season and with Liverpool’s defence looking shaky he will certainly be aiming to add to that tally. The 4-1 drubbing by Manchester City showed the holes left in the Liverpool defence by Virgil van Dijk’s injury and errors from the usually-reliable Alisson did not help the Reds.
Fabinho has recorded the most tackles from a Liverpool player this season (38) and will likely have to register a few more on Saturday if his side hopes to keep Leicester at bay. Leicester’s defence will also be challenged with the league’s leading goal scorer in Mohamed Salah aiming to get his side’s season back on track.

Leicester’s recent record against Liverpool is dreadful. The Foxes have not tasted victory over the Reds since September 2017 which came in the League Cup. However, there does not feel like a better time to play Liverpool than right now with their current form forcing them out of the title race.
