Leeds vs West Brom: Predictions
Leeds United will cap off their stunning first season since returning to the Premier League with a home game against the already relegated West Brom. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been a breath of fresh air in this season’s top-flight with the Yorkshire side guaranteed a spot in the top half of the table.
West Brom will be glad to see the back of this season and they will begin next season in the Championship with a new manager on the sideline. Following their defeat to West Ham on Wednesday night, the 66-year-old confirmed he will be stepping away from the midlands club after the game against the Whites on Sunday.
Bielsa’s side enter the game on Sunday in better form than the newly-crowned Premier League champions, Manchester City. Leeds’ only defeat in their last 10 league games came against one of the sides which many would have expected the Whites to comfortably beat in Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leeds vs West Brom: Match Stats
In Leeds’ last three games they have won by an aggregate score of 9-1. Impressive victories against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Southampton has secured the Yorkshire side a top 10 finish. The only goal in which Bielsa’s side has conceded in their last 270 minutes of Premier League football came in the 25th minute of their game against Spurs.
Patrick Bamford has played a huge role in Leeds’ successful season to date. The striker has netted 16 goals in the Premier League campaign and has flicked the switch back on with two goals in his last three appearances. The game on Sunday will be his last chance to tempt Gareth Southgate to pick him for this summer’s Euros squad against the side who has conceded the most goals this campaign (73).
29 December 2020 – West Brom 0-5 Leeds – Premier League
1 January 2020 – West Brom 1-1 Leeds – Championship
1 October 2019 – Leeds 1-0 West Brom – Championship
1 March 2019 – Leeds 4-0 West Brom – Championship
West Brom’s recent record against the Yorkshire side is nothing far from shocking. A little further back they did beat the Whites 4-1, however, in their last four meetings they have lost on an aggregate scoreline of 11-1 and we expect Bielsa’s side to put on a show in front of their fans on Sunday.
