Leeds United vs West Ham: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Leeds take on London opposition for the second week running, welcoming West Ham to Elland Road in the Premier League on Friday at 8pm.
Leeds United vs West Ham: Predictions
Leeds and West Ham will both be looking to bounce back from the 3-1 reversals they suffered last weekend at the hands of Chelsea and Manchester United respectively, when they meet in West Yorkshire on Friday to kick start matchday 12 in the Premier League.
In a typically bizarre act of psychological warfare from Leeds’ enigmatic tactitian, Marcelo Bielsa, the aptly nicknamed ‘El Loco’ has already announced his entire starting line-up for the game against the Hammers, with right-back Luke Ayling shuffling across to the centre of defence.
The Argentine has also announced summer recruits Rodrigo and Raphinha will line up alongside each other for the first time, with the former having been reduced to a bench role for the past three games following his return from injury, while Patrick Bamford retains his starting berth up front.
David Moyes meanwhile has named an unchanged XI for four of the previous five matches, so there is an element of predictably about both managers this weekend. The Hammers were on a three-game winning run prior to last week’s second-half collapse against Man Utd, and Moyes will be desperate to remedy that loss by bouncing back at the first time of asking.

Leeds United vs West Ham: Match Stats
Leeds are a well-oiled, well-drilled side under Bielsa, known for their persistent harrying and high-octane style, so expect plenty of pressing from the hosts and challenges flying in. No player has encapsulated Bielsa’s high-press philosophy more than Stuart Dallas, who has registered a club-high 33 tackles, and the fourth-highest in the division, below only Yves Bissouma (34), Allan (38) and Oriol Romeu (41).
Attacking wise Patrick Bamford has been in a rich vein of form, scoring eight goals in his 11 Premier League games this season. In fact, he’s averaging a goal every 118 minutes this term, compared to one every 216 in the Championship last season, but he has a propensity to mistime his runs, registering eight offsides this campaign, with only five players clocking up more.

These sides last met in West Ham’s play-off-winning Championship campaign in 2011/12, with Sam Allardyce unable to extract a win from either encounter. That means it has been 10 games since the Hammers last tasted victory over Leeds, coming almost exactly a decade ago in November 2000.
