Fulham vs Leeds: Predictions

Despite playing some attractive football, Scott Parker’s men remain stuck in the bottom three with just nine games left to play. However, even with defeats to Man City and Tottenham in their last three games, Fulham’s form is improving and there are now just two points separating them from 17th-place Newcastle United, who seem to be in freefall right now. A win here would be enough to see them leapfrog the Magpies, even if only for a short while.

But Parker will know beating Leeds is no simple task. Sure, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won just one of their last six Premier League games, but Leeds did emerge with a 4-3 victory the last time these two sides met, while they also beat Fulham 3-0 in their final Championship encounter last season prior to both enjoying promotion. If Leeds can pull off a first league double over Fulham in 36 years, they can climb above Crystal Palace into 11th place while putting themselves on 39 points — extremely impressive for a newly promoted side at this point in the season.

Fulham vs Leeds: Match Stats

Following their 4-3 victory at Elland Road earlier this season, Leeds are looking to complete their first league double over Fulham since the 1984-85 campaign in the second tier.

Leeds are winless in their last 16 away games against London sides in all competitions since a 3-1 win at QPR in December 2017 (D2 L14). The Whites have lost all five of their games in the capital this season, conceding 16 goals along the way.

Patrick Bamford has scored in all three of his league appearances for Leeds against Fulham. Only against Wigan Athletic between 2014 and 2019 has he scored in four consecutive league appearances against an opponent. The former Chelsea man has also scored 12 goals in 15 league appearances in games played on Fridays, including a hat-trick already this season against Aston Villa. Bamford averages a league goal every 93 minutes on Fridays.

Prior to their most recent back-to-back defeats, Fulham had lost just one of their last 10 meetings with Leeds United across all competitions.
