Ireland vs Bulgaria: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Ireland will be fighting against relegation from Uefa Nations League B when they host Bulgaria on Wednesday night.
Ireland vs Bulgaria: Predictions
Wednesday’s game is essentially a straight shootout for relegation, with the winner set to stay in League B and the loser dropping to League C.
Ireland do have the slight upper hand going into the game, sitting one point above Bulgaria thanks to two draws including one against their opponents at the start of the group.
But life under Stephen Kenny has not been going well since he officially replaced Mick McCarthy. His seven games so far have all ended without an Ireland win, drawing three and losing four. Those defeats include three in a row against Finland, England and Wales going into Wednesday’s game.
It hasn’t been any better for Bulgaria, who have only avoided defeat twice in their eight games this year, once in the draw against Ireland and then beating Gibraltar in a recent friendly.

Ireland vs Bulgaria: Stats
Both Ireland and Bulgaria are without a win in the Nations League this season and they cancelled each other out when they faced off in September. The same could happen again on Wednesday, a result Ireland would take to avoid relegation.
Neither side have been free-scoring in the Nations League this season, with Ireland scoring just once and Bulgaria twice. But both sides have scored in the past five meetings between Ireland and Bulgaria.
