Hungary vs Republic of Ireland: Predictions
Just 90 minutes of football and Marco Rossi’s men separate them from this summer’s European Championships with the Hungary players looking to impress their manager one more time. Hungary won their prior warm-up game against Cyprus on Friday with András Schäfer netting the only goal of the game.
Ireland will have the summer off having failed to qualify for this summer’s tournament. The Boy’s in Green suffered heartbreak on penalties in their qualification game against Slovakia last year following a 0-0 draw after extra time.
Hungary will face tough competition in this summer’s Euros and will be up against the odds to get out of the group. Rossi’s men will come up against Germany, France and Portugal in Group F so they will need a mini-miracle if they are to make it into the knockout stages.

Claim HereHungary vs Republic of Ireland: Match Stats
Hungary come into the game in a stunning run of form having not lost since September 2020 against Russia. Rossi’s side have recorded seven wins out of their 10 games since their defeat against Russia and in five of those games, Hungary have been able to keep a clean sheet.
Adam Szalai had a hugely underwhelming domestic campaign for German side Mainz this season. The forward was only used as an occasional substitute and racked up a total of 721 minutes over the course of the 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign. Despite only netting once for Mainz, Szalai is likely to be Hungary’s biggest goal threat and will be hoping to add to his 23 goals for the national side.
