Huddersfield were involved in a seven-goal thriller with Reading last time out as a Danny Ward hat-trick saw them defeat Reading 4-3 at the Madejski Stadium. The result means it is nine without defeat for the Yorkshire outfit who have moved into sixth. It is tight in the play-off race with just seven points seperating West Brom in fifth and and Stoke in 11th. Danny Ward has been excellent for Town this season and has ten goals for the campaign.
At home, the Terriers last played in the league on the 15th January and the game ended 1-1 that day. It is three unbeaten at their own place although it is just one victory in four in front of their own fans. Both teams have netted in the last four fixtures here producing a combined total of 12 goals. The last four at this ground have seen a combined seven first-half goals.
Stoke come into this game on the back of a 1-0 road loss at Coventry in midweek making it back-to-back league defeats. City are struggling with four defeats in their last five and just one defeat in six. Three of the last five involving the Staffordshire side have seen both teams score. Tom Ince has grabbed two in his last five matches.
Huddersfield vs Stoke: Match Stats
Both teams to score would have paid in the last three Huddersfield´games and the last four when just looking at home matches. This is also the case in three of the last five for Stoke City. Backing both teams to net here looks the case especially considering the seven goals involved the last fixture Town played.
Danny Ward grabbed the headlines last weekend with a hat-trick but his strike partner Daniel Sinani looks better value here. The Luxembourg man has netted in his last two and five of his last ten. He looks value to get among the goals here against a Stoke side with just one clean sheet in their last five.
