Brighton vs Fulham: Predictions
Brighton go into the game on the back of three wins in four games across the Premier League and FA Cup but that has not been the story of their season so far. The Seagulls have managed just seven wins from 24 games across all competitions this season, but four of those victories have come in cup competitions against lower league sides.
In the Premier League, Graham Potter’s side have managed just three wins from 19 and sit five points clear of the relegation zone, recently ending an eight-game run without victory by beating Leeds. But they now host a side breathing down their neck.
One spot below Brighton in the league, and currently occupying the final relegation place, are Fulham who as mentioned are five points off the Seagulls. However, Fulham do have a game in hand and know they can put real pressure on their opponents with a win.
Fulham are not in good form, without a win in their past four games across all competitions, but that run did include a trio of games against Tottenham, Chelsea and Man Utd. At the weekend, they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Burnley, rolling over to a 3-0 defeat, but Fulham know this is the match that matters.

Brighton vs Fulham: Match Stats
There isn’t much to separate these two sides, with neither really showing anything special this season. All signs do, then, point to a stalemate on Wednesday especially with Brighton being the Premier League’s draw specialists. The Seagulls have drawn eight games so far this season, more than any other side, while Fulham aren’t too far behind six.
Although a draw is likely, Fulham may have a tough time keeping Neal Maupay quiet. The Frenchman goes into this game in good form, having scored in each of his last three Premier League starts. He hasn’t scored in four consecutive league starts since August/September 2018 when he did so in the Championship with Brentford.
16 December 2020 – Fulham 0-0 Brighton – Premier League
29 January 2019 – Fulham 4-2 Brighton – Premier League
1 September 2018 – Brighton 2-2 Fulham – Premier League
2 January 2017 – Fulham 1-2 Brighton – Championship
26 November 2016 – Brighton 2-1 Fulham – Championship
Since Brighton were promoted to the Premier League, the Seagulls are winless against Fulham in three matches, drawing twice and losing once. That came after a run of five straight wins for Brighton over Fulham in the Championship as the Seagulls started to establish themselves as a regular in the top leagues.
