Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the season finally came crashing down on Monday night, as they imploded against Chelsea in an incredible game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium that saw five goals, five disallowed goals, two red cards, countless VAR checks, a penalty and a hat-trick for Nico Jackson. Despite taking an early lead through Dejan Kulusevski and looking like they would go on to win the game, Ange Postecoglou’s men let the occasion get the better of them, as Cuti Romero was sent off for a high challenge on Enzo Fernandez in the box. Cole Palmer then squeezed his penalty past Vicario to level the game before HT.

Spurs were then reduced to nine men after Destiny Udogie lunged in on Raheem Sterling to pick up his second yellow card of the game early in the second half, before Chelsea finally got the better of Tottenham’s high line late on to put the game past the hosts, despite Spurs having chances to equalise. It was Ange Postecoglou’s first PL defeat and first home defeat in his last 53 matches, with Spurs determined to put things right this weekend, despite having a weakened squad.

Opponents Wolves also saw their mini unbeaten run come to an end last weekend, after a 99th minute Oliver Norwood penalty handed Sheffield United their first three points of the season after Jean-Ricner Bellegarde had equalised for Gary O’Neil’s side in the 89th minute. His side have picked up just one win at home so far this season, but that did come against champions Man City. Infact, Wolves have won four of their five Premier League home games against ‘Big Six’ sides in 2023, with only Liverpool leaving Molineux with all three points in that time.

Wolves vs Tottenham match tip

Hwang Hee-chan to score or assist @ 17/10 with Paddy Power

Hwang Hee-chan has been in the form of his life in recent weeks and a goal or an assist against Tottenham would see him become just the second player to score or assist in six consecutive Premier League matches for Wolves after Henri Camara ( 7 in 2004). The South Korean has been directly involved in 57% of Wolves league goals so far this term and has already set a new personal best for both goals and assists in a Premier League campaign.

Wolves vs Tottenham Bet-Builder tip

BTTS > Guglielmo Vicario to make 4+ saves > Hwang Hee-chan to score or assist

After struggling to score goals, Wolves have now found the back of the net at least once in each of their last 10 Premier League games, though they’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last 14, with both teams scoring in each of Wolves’ last eight Premier League matches. Guglielmo Vicario has been incredible for Tottenham this season, boasting an impressive 73.47% save percentage in the league so far this term. He will need to be at his very best with Spurs’ makeshift defence this weekend, especially against Hwang Hee-chan, who has either score or assisted in each of his last five Premier League games.
