Wolves vs Man City prediction, stats, tips & team news: Will Man City put Wolves to the sword?
Manchester City will be hoping to build up momentum when they travel to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League after the international break.
Pep Guardiola’s side are still unbeaten in the league this season but they went into the international break trailing Liverpool by one point. Wolves, meanwhile, have just one point for the season and are rooted to the bottom of the table.
Man City to score 3+ goals (1/1 with Sky Bet)
Man City have scored at least three goals in six of their past eight Premier League games against Wolves. This run includes three of the four matches at Molineux, with Man City scoring a total of 12 goals.
Both Teams to Score in the 1st half (10/3 with Sky Bet)

How to watch Wolves vs Man City live
Wolves vs Man City is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday 20th October and will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
How both teams go into Wolves vs Man City
There were promising signs for Wolves under Gary O’Neil last season, and the hope was for them to build on it this year. After coming in at the final minute last summer, O’Neil would have the benefit of a full pre-season and a chance to build his own squad. But Wolves have not started well.
In fact, Wolves are one of four teams still awaiting their first win of the season. The fixture list hasn’t been kind to Wolves to be fair, with O’Neil’s side facing four of the last season’s top six so far. This will be team five. Wolves have also had to faced Newcastle United and Brentford during that time. Their sole point came against Nottingham Forest, which does look to be a good result.
Man City will be hoping to add to Wolves’ misery, though. They’re the defending Premier League champions for a historic fourth time and are looking to continue their domination. And although they aren’t top of the league, Man City will surely be happy with their start so far.
The Citizens won their opening four league matches, dropping points for the first time in a draw with Arsenal. That was followed up by another draw, this time against Newcastle. But Man City returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Fulham, coming from behind.
Wolves host Man City at Molineux on Sunday 20th October at 2pm.
Wolves team news
Wolves will hope to have Bastien Meupiyou available for selection for the first time this season, with the Frenchman stepping up his recovery from injury. But they are expected to still be without Boubacar Traore, Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez. Yerson Mosquera has been ruled out for the season whilst Hee-Chan Hwang is a doubt.
Man City team news
Kevin De Bruyne and Nathan Ake may return in time for this game, with the former a big miss in the midfield. Oscar Bobb’s return is still a few months away, while Rodri is out for the season.
Wolves vs Man City head-to-head
After losing home and away against Wolves in 2019-20, Man City have won seven of the past eight meetings between these two sides. But they did lose the first meeting last season, a 2-1 defeat at Molineux.
