Wolves vs Bournemouth

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be hoping to build on their first back-to-back Premier League wins of the season when they host Bournemouth at Molineux on Saturday, November 30th, at 3 p.m. Gary O’Neil’s side have climbed out of the relegation zone, but they will hope their season is finally up and running now after a disappointing start. Bournemouth are mid-table at the moment, but they saw have been defeated in their last two.

Over 2.5 Goals (7/10 with BetMGM)

We could be in for a high-scoring affair at Molineux on Saturday, and I’m backing Over 2.5 Goals for my first selection. The hosts won 4-1 away at Fulham last time out to record back-to-back victories, which saw them climb out of the relegation zone. They may sit 17th in the standings, but their problem has not been finding the net, ranking 7th in the league for goals scored with 20. Nine of their last ten across all competitions have seen at least three goals.

Bournemouth have surprised both Manchester City and Arsenal this season and have created plenty of high-value opportunities in front of goal. The Cherries rank third in the division for shots this season, letting off an impressive 15.2 per game. All of their last three have seen the Over 2.5 goals line cleared, and a repeat looks likely here.

Matheus Cunha & Evanilson both to Score (11/1 with BetMGM)

It can often be different for young South American players to settle in England after leaving home, but Matheus Cunha seems happy and comfortable playing his football in the Black Country. The Brazilian bagged a brace against Fulham and now has six goals in his last eight Premier League appearances. 23/10 looks too big a price as a single, and he makes up the first half of this anytime-scorer double.

With Antonie Semenyo suspended after collecting five yellow cards, Evanilson will have more impetus to break down the Wolves’ defence. Across his last four outings, the 25-year-old has recorded six shots on target and scored with three. Combining both Brazilians to score on Saturday pays a generous 11/1, with other firms having the double priced as short as 7/1.

How both teams go into Wolves vs Bournemouth

With a pre-season to prepare, there were high hopes surrounding O’Neil and Wolves. But the Old Gold have struggled this season, with injury issues once again not helping. Wolves took just one point from their opening eight games, having to deal with an extremely tough fixture list. O’Neil’s men went into the international break unbeaten in three, though, including their first league win of the season. That victory came at home against fellow relegation battlers Southampton, and they then followed that up with a stunning 4-1 away win at Fulham last time out.

Bournemouth have taken 15 points from their first 12 Premier League games this season, scoring 16 and conceding 17. And they’ve very much been a home side. The Cherries have beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium this season. But they’ve taken just five points from their opening six away league games. They’ve won one and drawn two, only managing victory in that famous comeback against Everton. Since then, it’s one point from four on the road.

Wolves team news

Wolves are still struggling with injuries. Bastien Meupiyou remains out, with Boubacar Traore and Sasa Kalajdzic not expected back until after Christmas. Enso Gonzalez and Yerson Mosquera are both out for the season.

Bournemouth team news

Luis Sinisterra is closing in on a return, but this game will be too soon. Alex Scott isn’t tipped to return from his injury until after Christmas, while Julian Araujo is also injured. Antonie Semenyo misses out through suspension after collecting five yellow cards.

Wolves vs Bournemouth head-to-head

These two sides shared away wins in the Premier League last season. Bournemouth left Molineux with a 1-0 victory, while Wolves won 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium.
