A chance for Arsenal to put the pressure on

Arsenal missed out on the chance to go top of the Premier League last weekend, losing 2-0 to Aston Villa at the Emirates. However, they will still feel somewhat happy about their standing right now. The Gunners now play two Premier League matches before Man City next kick off in the competition, giving them the chance to go four points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side.

But they are also dealing with a bit of heartbreak. As well as losing in the league for the first time this year against Villa, Arsenal were also knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals in midweek. They went into the second leg of their tie level at 2-2 on aggregate, but lost 1-0 at the Allianz Arena, bringing their Champions League hopes to a close.

Wolves, meanwhile, may be about finishing the season on a high. The Midlands side are currently 11th, seven points behind seventh-placed Manchester United — expected to be enough for European qualification if Manchester City win the FA Cup. But they aren’t in the best of form.

Since a 2-1 win over Fulham in March, Wolves are now winless in their past four matches, drawing two and losing two. The draws have been quite tough to take too, dropping points against relegation-battling Burnley and Nottingham Forest.

Wolves vs Arsenal match tip

Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 29/20

Bukayo Saka struggled to make an influence in the Champions League in midweek, but he has been a man in form on the road in the Premier League. The Englishman has scored in five of his last seven Premier League away games for Arsenal, netting seven goals in that run. His 13 away goal involvements overall this term (8 goals, 5 assists) is the most by an Arsenal player in a single Premier League campaign since Alexis Sánchez’s 20 in 2016-17.

Understandable, Arsenal are the favourites for this game. But don’t write Wolves off. Gary O’Neil’s side have caused problems for some of the bigger teams at Molineux this season, beating Man City and Tottenham, while only losing late on in a dramatic match against Man Utd.
