West Ham followed up a 2-0 win over struggling Sheffield United at the weekend with a 2-1 victory away to Freiburg in the Europa League, to set a new club record for English sides in major European competitions of 17 games unbeaten. David Moyes’ side have taking to European football like a duck to water, winning each of their last eight group stage games, but face a huge task against Newcastle, this weekend, who also excelled on the European stage.

After drawing 0-0 at the San Siro in Champions League matchday one, Eddie Howe’s side went one further on Wednesday, as they smashed PSG off the park in a historic 4-1 win at St. James’ Park. The Toon Army are now unbeaten in each of their last six matches across all competitions, winning their last four and are back on track after three consecutive defeats to Man City, Liverpool and Brighton. They have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three Premier League games and if they win to nil here, it will be the first time they have won four consecutive top-flight games without conceding since April 2012 under Alan Pardew.

West Ham vs Newcastle Bet-Builder tip

Over 2.5 goals > Callum Wilson to score > BTTS

So, we shouldn’t be surprise to see Callum Wilson find the back of the net, and we can definitely expect goals. Both teams have scored in six of West Ham’s seven Premier League games this season, with the only outlier being last weekend’s 2-0 win over Sheffield United. West Ham themselves have also scored in each of their last nine Premier League games, but they haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their past five matches against Newcastle.
