West Ham vs Luton match tip

Emerson 3+ Tackles @ 8/15 with SkyBet

There will be key battles all over the pitch in this one, and West Ham hopes Emerson comes out on top in his matchups. The Italian full-back has made 96 tackles in the Premier League so far this season, one of the highest tallies in the division. Averaging 2.98 tackles per 90 minutes, Emerson has made at least three tackles in each of his past five league matches.

The curtain falls on the Moyes era

West Ham manager David Moyes has decided to leave the club after the conclusion of the current season. This comes after a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Chelsea, which was the final straw. Although Moyes helped the Hammers end their 43-year trophy drought by winning the Europa Conference League last season, there was speculation of him being sacked before that.

Despite surviving the rumours, West Ham’s performance has been inconsistent this season, and they have lost three out of their last four Premier League games (with one draw). They have also conceded five goals in their last two defeats against Crystal Palace (2-5) and Chelsea (0-5).

This is not the first time that the Hammers have conceded five or more goals in a single game this season; it has happened four times. The last time this occurred more than four times in a league season was in 1965-66 (six times). Furthermore, West Ham have conceded 70 Premier League goals this season, their joint-most in a single campaign along with 2010-11 when they finished bottom. They last conceded more in a league season in 1975-76 (71).
